Naming snapshots with date

I would like to know how to change the default name for snapshots to date + serial number, which one could earlier.
E.g. 090606_134.png (YYMMDD_nn.png).
It was much easier to sort photos then.
Today I have a hundreds of photos called Snapshot_001 ...

I doubt that that is possible, but you can download programs that willbatch rename files using a template that includes date and/or time information in the filename,

If you're using Windows, you can also select all your snapshots at once and rename them all together. If you rename them YYMMDD, they will be renamed YYMMDD(1), YYMMDD(2), etc.

If you use the option "save as" while saving a snapshot you can type the date as a name, the serial number will be added automatically. As long as you don't log off all snapshots you take after that first one will have that same date as a name.

What I want to say is that this was possible before.
I have a lot of pictures from 2009 and earlier with the filenames as I want them.

If you are saving them right to inventory you have to manually rename them yourself . 

If you save them to your disk, instead of clicking save, choose save as.  Name the file you want.  Subsequent shots should then be named the same with a sequential number and the same name until you select save as again or log off .  Example, if you name the first snap shot 2013-08-02, the next one you take will be named 2013-08-02_002 the next one 2013-08-02_003 etc.

The advantage of saving to disk is not only the naming but the resolution can be higher and you don't pay for the photo until you upload it back into SL.  So you can eliminate any duds and save some money too.
