Like previous promotional offers, it's very limited and only applies to the first payment of a quarterly membership plan so a saving of just $11.25. If you are on an existing quarterly plan that falls due for renewal between July 26 and August 11, perhaps you could allow it lapse and then reapply. It wouldn't surprise me though if LL disallowed the discount in those circumstances as well as not giving another L$1000 after 45 days.

This limited-time discount offer is available only for memberships on the Quarterly billing plan. Discount will be applied to the first quarterly billing cycle only, and all future charges will be at the regular Premium price; price will return to USD 22.50, excluding VAT where applicable. To qualify, Second Life members must have an active Basic account or create a new Second Life account.
