 What does this mean - other than I've lost Linden. I had L$4,655 as of 7/14. Now I have L$2,527. 

Thats a few pair of shoes I'd say ... 

Any assistance, insight appreciated.

That specific message usually means that you got money at some point that you shouldn't have received. Someone may have given it to you by mistake or, worse yet, someone may have paid you legitimately but paid you with stolen money.  Linden Lab does the same thing that the police and the courts would do in RL.  They re-balance the books by putting the money back where it belongs. 

Lindens never come to this resident-to-resident Answer service and we can't peek into your account to see the details (you can be glad about that).  If you have a non-technical issue related to billing concerns, however, you can call the Linden Lab billing team at the following toll-free numbers:

As I said in response to the OP almost a year ago, that message from Linden Lab almost always means that they have removed money from your account that should not have been there in the first place. If you received it from a friend, then it's possible that either your friend stole it or that he received stolen money from someone. In any case, the money was not yours so it has probably been returned to the rightful owner. If you have any question about your account, you may call the Linden Lab billing office at any time 24/7 to ask:
