Just bought PsiCorp Male Black Red Dragon, Don't know how to use it

I have just bought PsiCorp Male Black Red Dragon (i got it as a box under the objects section, and when i drag it onto my avatar it just shows up as a picture, nothing happens to my avatar), and i don't know how to use it. It says in the readme i have to update my avatar using the HUD & selecting the Update function. I have got no idea how to do that (i only started playing Second Life A few hours ago) so some help would be much appreciated.

You should have gotten a folder full of a lot of files. Now open your inventory window. First of all, if the folder's in your "Recieved Items" area drag it into the main part of your inventory just for safety's sake.

Now click on the folder and drag your mouse and drop the folder onto your avatar in your world view. Your avatar should change to the dragon.

You may have bitten off more than you can chew with an avatar like this though - it's quite complicated for a beginner. I'd advise either searching on-line for more info on the basics of Second Life or go to an area that specializes in helping new players. You can find these areas in the "Destination Guide."

Drag the box to the ground and open it, there should be folders with items in it. Coby those to your inventory and wear whats inside.

I dragged the box with the avatar items onto the ground and added them to my inventory and equipped them. So i am using the avatar, but it dosen't look right. All the avatar items show up correctly, except for the body, which just stays exactly the same, only thing that changes is the texture, but doesn't look like it should in the vendor picture (the body has the black dragon texture, but the red part of it doesn't show up). The avatar i chose when i made my profile is that standard green dragon, so the body mesh doesn't change from that one. Also, for example, when the other heads are attached, there's a fairly noticable gap between the head & neck, and the normal legs don't change when the new ones are attached. I have also bought the Kinzart Kreetures Cream Sergal & PsiCorp Chinese Banded Cobra, and it's the same story. so, in a way, the avatars are working, but not as they should, and it's quite annoying. And should these new avatars show up in the avatar menu as well?

Are you sure you are wearing all required parts? All alphas? Is their anything left from the box that you do not wear at the moment? Do you have detached every attachment from the avatar you had worn before this dragon?

If you struggle to check that, a screenshot of your avatar, the content of the box and from the tab that shows what you wear at the moment might help.
