I downloaded the latest Secondlife Viewer but when I try to log on get a blank pending screen. Help?

I downloaded the latest Secondlife Viewer but when I try to log on get a blank pending screen.  Firestorm viewer still works but Secondlife doesn't.  The only way to get rid of the pending Secondlife Viewer is to force quit.  I tried clearing the caches but did not get rid of my avatar lists (friends and groups).  I am at a lost to why it will no longer work.  I am on a backbookpro....Mac OS X 10.7.5.

Check to be sure that you have told your Mac (in Mac Preferences) that the Viewer exe file is not an alien intruder.  Then, if that's OK, take a look at http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/mac_antialiasing , which describes precisely that issue as a problem for some Macs.  I assume that the solution will work as well for the Linden Lab V3 viewer as it does for Firestorm.
