I created a 90 frame animation of a woman KNEELING on the ground, bowing deeply, head bowed and moving slightly, hands between her knees moving slightly. But when I upload the the animation to SL she instead isSTANDING FULLY ERECT, one arm out, one leg bent, she looks like a ballet dancer. This is NOTHING remotely like what I created in QAvimator.

I have tried all the tweeks I can find on the forum and find nothing suggested to fix this. My A/O is off. I have tried uploading as standing, sitting, etc. nothing fixes this. If the uploaded animation is so completely off what is created in QAvimator, the program is totally useless to me.

I would upload a picture if I knew how. Is there some basic thing I am doing wrong? Is there some other program I should try? Any help appreciated. Thanks, Nan

Sounds like you have bones still set at zero. The way SL animation works, the first frame is your positioning frame, and it tells the system which bones are going to be used. If you keep a bone in the first frame the same in the 2nd frame, it will be overriden by the default animations. So, your 1st frame, and your 2nd frame have to be totally different, if you want the whole body to be animated.

Medhue:

THANK YOU, I knew it had to be some simple thing I was overlooking. The tutorials have you starting with the default position then they just move an arm or leg to demonstrate how the program works, The tutorials should at least mention this second fram issue.

So based on your information, I tried setting the new position in the second frame and that worked perfectly!! It cured the problem.

So cool to be able to tap someone's experience; that cleared the hurdle I couldn't figure out myself. Agani, thank you! - Nan
