VERY annoying attachment bug that's been bothering me for a long while, any help?

So, it seems that my hair-- and ONLY my hair-- doesn't rez for anyone around me, while still showing up on my avatar on my viewer.

I've tried clean installs, clearing my cache, pretty much everything that all the help groups inworld have thrown at me, and I still can't find an answer. It really sucks to be standing around with some friends or at a club somewhere for an hour before someone asks me why I've been bald the entire time, when on my screen, I've had my hair on the entire time.

Also, even though my hair doesn't show up for anyone else, it STILL shows as "attached" in my inventory. Right-clicking it won't let me edit or detach.

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

You could try doing a character test, male or female, and then build your avatar up again by putting your own shape, skin, etc. back on.

In addition to what Phil said, try changing the bald base.
