Confused about land ratings and object use

Recently I purchased a furnish home in a Moderate parcel which came with Adult objects. Now I an confused can these objects with Adult ratings be used or should I remove them? Can they be used if I change the settings of the parcel to stop communication with other parcels or what. I want to follow the rules and if I need to buy an Adult parcel I will do.

They may be used privately inside your home as long as you can't see it from outside.  You can uncheck the Option for Avatars on Other Parcels can See and Chat with Avatars on this Parcel, to assure that and restrict voice and sound to your parcel, using the Land Management tools.

and you may also want to restrict access to the parcel, or at least to the building containing the items (please don't block waterways, too many banlines on water already).
