'Play media attached to other Avatars'

Hello,

 

Is there a script I can add to an object attached to an avatar that plays media (MOAP) that, when the object is clicked by another avatar, will open a dialogue to enable them to tick the option to 'Play media attached to other Avatars.' in their preferences?

That's a hard sentence to follow, but if I understand you correctly, you are looking for a way to write a script that will modify someone's Preference settings.  That can't be done, thank goodness.

No, not to modify their preferences, but to simply provide a schortcut to that section of their preferences to allow them to tick the enable box - I'm sure I remember something similar when I first began in SL and a dialogue came up something like 'your preferences do not allow you to be in this region - 'click here to change your rating preferences.'

I'm trying to avoid having to ask the avatar owner to go into their preferences and hunt for that particular tick box in order to view the media.

You can't use LSL to access Preferences.
