If I want to make several sizes, but wouldn't I need to redo the weight-painting again for each size? Is there a good workflow here? I use Maya.Ty! Chosen Few Posted March 12, 2013 Share Posted March 12, 2013 Unless the models are radically different, chances are you can use the same weghting for all of them. Get one of them weighted properly, and then just copy the weights to the others. (Skin -> Edit smooth skins -> Copy weights) 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Codewarrior Congrejo Posted March 12, 2013 Share Posted March 12, 2013 Just make sure to 'test' the different sizes again with the copied weights. If edgeloops / or also single / several vertices move up or downwards within a different 'size' of the shirt they might need more influence of something they are now 'closer' to, and less from bones from they have been close to before. Especially to take care of in cases where the bottom of the shirt would become further down and maybe become more influences by the upper legs etc. Cheers, Code.
