Way to learn Scripting

Hi I'm a programmer in RL and I would like to give Scripting a shot. I was wondering what is the best way to learn it. Is there a website or book I can get to get started? Any help would be much appreciated

If you're a programmer, you'll find most of what you need here - tutorials, sampe code to study and - most importanly - a documentation of LSL.

Its not that difficult.  I am not a coder but had no problem 'teaching' myself using the LSL Portal that Darkie linked for you.. You can also ask for help on this forum with specific questions or problems you may have and some of the best scripters in SL will help you.

If you prefer, you can take classes in scripting.  Just search 'scripting classes' and you'll find a number of places.
