Freezes at log in

I have an issue with logging in. When I wait for the world and clothing to download the bar reaches the end and it logs me in to a very faint opacity screen then locks up. I can hear the streaming music and people around me emoting but I'm definitly not logged in on my side. This happened just today and I've tried uninstalling the browser, re-installing the browser.  I've tried updating my graphics card and restarting my machine to no avail.

Have you tried logging in somewhere else? Perhaps somewhere quiet, like Smith or Pooley. Then try teleporting where you want to be.

It's a long shot, but it might help.
