Unable to buy lindens even with payment on file. 24 hour limit on new players?

I was wondering why I cannot obtain Lindens even when I have a payment on file. I even made another account to test it out and the results are the same. I'm guessing that new players aren't allowed to purchase lindens for a set period of time?

I don't believe there's a waiting period during which you can't buy L$s, but there is a limit on the amount that you can buy in US Dollars that increases as time goes by.

To add to Griffin's excellent answer, you can file a support ticket with LL if you have reached your spending limit and would like to spend more. Your spending limit raises over time, but if you'd like to spend more right now, LL's support for this is pretty fast!

Also: Is there an error message you recieve when trying to purchase? Does the purchase just time out? Are you trying to purchase from inworld, or from the website. More details would help us help you.
