I abandoned my land over 30 days ago yet am still being charged extra each month for it?

Before the end of the November billing cycle for my account I abandoned my land so I wouldn't have to pay for it anymore.  I noticed when my account was billed today I was still charged the extra 15 dollars for the land I no longer own.  Checking for next month it says I owe the extra 15USD next month also.  How do I remove the land so I no longer owe anything each month for it?

If the land was owned by a group with you contributing your tier to the group that owned it, go into the group and set your tier contribution to zero and then go into the Land Manager and manually set your tier down to zero there as well.

You don't actually pay for land itself, you pay for the ABILITY TO OWN land. The $15 is for the ability to own land up to the amount you had previously. To reduce your costs, you have to go into your account and change your tier level to the lowest that will support the amount of land you still have; it doesn't change automatically after you abandon land.
