There are two ways to do this.

One way is to partner.  The person will have to accept the partnership and it cost L's to partner.  You also will be charged if it doesn't work out and you split up.  Here is more information on how to partner,

The second way is just to note in your profile that you have a boyfriend.  You can do this on your About me page or Picks page.  You can elect to show his name and picture too and also put a note in their to warn other people you are not interested in any relationship other than as  a friend because you are 'taken'.  This costs you nothing, and if it doesn't work out you can just remove it for free.

A lot of people use the second method at first and the first only when they are sure that the relationship is going to last, or as a more formal way of expressing the relationship.  They think of the first method as more of an engagement or marriage.

Either way is perfectly acceptable.  If you intention of showing you have a boy friend is to discourage others, you will definitely want to note that you are taken and not interested in other boyfriends in the first page of your profile as some people have partners but have open relationships.
