Your friend has applied a 32-bit texture to the skirt instead of a 24-bit texture.  Whether her texture actually has any transparent areas or not, the fact that she saved it as a 32-bit texture means that it has an alpha channel and will be interpreted that way in SL.

If the texture is supposed to have transparent areas, there's nothing she can do about the alpha sorting issue when she walks in front of another alpha-textured object. That's a "feature" of life in SL.  :smileytongue:  If it isn't supposed to have transparency, though, she can cure it by saving and uploading the texture again.  If it's a TGA file on her computer, she'll see a 24-bit option in the file-save sequence.  If it is a PNG file, she'll have to use the Save For Web option to force it to save as a 24-bit file.
