Why will my credit card information not submit when I put it on the site?

I removed the old credit card information I had on my account because I got a new card.  When I tried to input the new card (boyfriends card with his permission), it allowed me to put in the info, but then gave me a blank screen after I hit Submit.  I know I typed the information in correctly, but the site seems to have stopped transmitting, or just plain lost the information in mid-transit.  Can someone give me some answers on this?
