Basing a website on a SL group

I was thinking of creating a SL group, based on an RP story I'm doing on SL. I was thinking of creating a website as a sort of reference area for this. Basically all the actual rp stuff happening on SL, but stuff like character biographies, some flash fiction short stories and information not easily translater on SL would be placed there. Would that be something that might be a problem with SL or a violation of the TOS?

The goal is not to use SL to recruit people for a different website, just to have something available as a reference that people can glance at while particupating in the actual roleplay as SL.

No worries, you can do it.

1 tip though -> on your future website, avoid prominently using any LindenLab logos. Reason is, they don't like it to look like they're affiliated, when they have no control over what your project is.

Actually you can use Second Life on your web page as long as you follow LL's policy about it. In fact, if done correctly they encourage it.
