Jo Heartsdale
Now I've been forced to use viewer 3.0, I can't for the life of me find out how to block someone who is nowhere near me, but who keeps sending me weird IMs in Spanish (which I don't understand!). Is it possible, and if so, would some kind soul please tell me how - the knowledge base isn't helping! Thanks in advance!
Dillon Levenque
I don't use 3, but surely it must have the Mute function. If you're getting IM's in a language you don't speak from someone you don't know you're probably not going to miss anything you needed by muting the person. Innula Zenovka
You should be able to click on the name of the spamming person/object in your IM window and that brings up a little context menu with Block as option. Alternatively, you can do it from the People floater: and then
Dillon Levenque
On the chance I may someday decide to join modern Slife and go to a V3 type viewer, I'll take this opportunity for a quick lesson. Is 'Block' the new term for 'Mute'?

PeterCanessa Oh
Exaclty. Like 'follow' is the new term for "Looking at what you put on your feed, not following you around, Honestly, how could anyone get freaked-out thinking it was creepy to have strangers following them"
Dillon Levenque
Thank you, and thank you too, 16. I googled it while waiting; it was really lazy of me to ask a question so easily answered. And I see it's been that way since V2!
161488303349
if we all used google then we would have nothing to talk about on the forums. so lazy is good (:
Jo Heartsdale
Many thanks for the help - on my way in to sort it out now. Also thanks for the info re 'follow' - I'd been wondering what that was all about, but not wondering so much that I could be bothered looking it up
