Getting visible again

Hi. I am a Newcomer. I've got a home and an avatar. When I tried to dress up, I suddenly got half invisible (is this the function "alpha"?). How can I find my whole visibility?

Yes, you could be wearing an alpha clothing layer.  If you bought an outfit that includes mesh, the creator probably packaged it with a custom alpha layer so that your body parts wouldn't poke through the mesh -- one of the unfortunate side effects of mesh.  So open your Inventory, click the Worn tab, find the alpha layer, and take it off.  Unless you plan to wear that mesh outfit.
