Hi Stormy,

If you're running Firefox, Ohjiro's got you covered. If your crashing started after updating to the latest version of the official SL viewer, you've probably run into a bug in the viewer itself. Here's a release candidate viewer from LL that contains a fix...

Click the "CYGWIN" entry on the "Install" line, which is for Windows.

blonkoonyx has proffered a potential solution that requires registration with softonic (and possibly iobit, I didn't check) and downloads at least two new applications to your computer, both of which appear to get their fingers deeply into your Windows installation. I would be unwilling to take on that kind of risk.

Good luck!

ETA: Good work, Ohjiro. My instincts were correct. blonkoonyx's invitation appears to be to a disaster party. I think it's time for a RIC or at least similar followup warnings in the other threads.

Only follow the advice of blonkoonyx if you want your browser hijacked, Trojan addware installed and rogue security software giving you false information about your computer to get you to pay for the pro version.
