Pamela Galli
I exported a house to my computer (with Singularity), and notice that the meshes come in as a medium LOD, not high. Anyone know anything about why the exporter chooses a lower LOD to export?
Pamela Galli
Oh weird, I just looked at it and now everything looks like high LOD. Blender is apparently switching LODs! I did not know it could do that, or why. ETA Actually is seems like on one side of the house the meshes are low LOD, on the other, high.
Chic Aeon
Very odd and I haven't noted that. I HAVE noted that using Firestorm (I used Singularity at one point but use FS everyday so no point to open that up) you will sometime get bad texture mapping -- if it is a prim build. That is the only real problem I have found with the process. The DAE of course really "should" get cleaned up, but for my purposes the extra triangles didn't really matter much. Mesh to Mesh seems to work fine. Sculpts to mesh BAD BAD BAD LOL. I will be interested to see more info on the borked LODs. Most of my items were very simple (old prim builds) so they came in fine. Pamela Galli
It is a large house so I am thinking maybe the meshes farther away from my camera got borked. I am going to try it with my camera inside the house.

Drongle McMahon
Maybe dialling RenderVolumeLODFactor up to an absurdly high value would do it too.
Pamela Galli
Oh good idea, never would have thought of that!
