Land, premium membership

What happens if i buy a mainland/island during muy premium membership. but all of a sudden, I can not pay my fee? Is the land sold out/taken/put on an auction?

Linden Lab will charge whatever billing method you gave them to pay for your Premium membership dues and for any land use fees.  If you remove that billing method, when LL goes to charge it, they will let the bills pile up for a period of time.  When they find they are not able to collect, they will seize your land and delete your Second Life account.

It is MUCH better to sell or abandon your land yourself, then downgrade your membership from Premium to Basic, if you are unable to meet your obligations.

I mean that i want to buy land from an auction, not to rent. What happens to this land if I end my premium membership? Is the land still mine, or it is taken?

1) You can't end [downgrade your membership to the basic free status] your Premium Membership without 1st abandoning/selling all the mainland your own.

2) If you win the auction as a Premium Member, your payment method will be charged and you will own this land.

Yes, I assumed you own the land, or plan to. KarenMichelle is right...the system won't allow you to end your Premium membership as long as you own mainland or donate tier to a group. You must get rid of the land first, if you want to downgrade.
