0 Rolig Loon
Probably because your web browser doesn;t know what to do with a SLURL yet. Unless you have defined an application (your viewer) for your browser to use when you click on a SLURL, the browser simply sees it as a poorly-written URL and doesn't have a clue what it means. If you are using the Firefox browser, you can open Tools >>> Options >>> Applications and then scroll down until you see secondlife in the left column. Then browse to finf your viewer's exe file on your hard drive and put that directory location in the right-hand column. If that is too complicated, or if you are using Chrome instead of Firefox, you can try using the SLURL Proxy app, available from the Firestorm developers. It only works on Windows systems and, as far as I know, only for Firefox and Chrome.
