Does anybody know in full detail what exactly the Homepage section in the SL viewer profile is?

I use the Phoenix Firestorm viewer but when my mom and I decided to open up a place to help out newbies, we diecided to get the Second Life Viewers...Gotta say that in comparision, Firestorm is MUCH easier to understand and figure out! Setting aside the confusing layout of the SL viewer, I'm making a note card on profiles for the newbies to read and learn from. I found a post that was an about profiles and mentioned the the Homepage but failed to explain what it is. Now  I've been on SL since the Teen Grid, in fact I was on the Teen Grid and I have no idea what this 'Homepage' thing means or does, can someone please explain in full detail?

Open your profile, either from the viewer or by going to my.secondlife.com/lilith.wildrose . You are looking at your profile's Home Page.  It's a web site.   If you navigate away from that page by clicking other links or tabs, you can get back easily. Look in the upper left corner, right under your picture.  See the word "Home"?  Click it.  You're Home again.
