iPhone message

I received a threat in im this morning, however I opened it with my iPhone.  Does anyone know how I can retrieve my messages?  I dont have them going to email or pc.  Only to view.  Hopefully I can get this back to report.

If you got it via email on you iPhone, you can go to your ISP's web site.  Unless you have set your email to delete from the server on reading, it should still be there.

This sort of thing is why I keep chat and IM logs on my computer.  If you had set your preferences to log conversations, it would be in a .txt file with the sender's name.

If you got the IM on your phone via Pocket Metaverse, and didn't log it, there's no way to recover it.

EDIT TO ADD:  Actually, there might be.  Log in world.  Open an IM window to the person who sent the nasty message.  The last thing that was said in IM with that person should show, faintly, in the IM window.
