What do you mean by "invisible"?

Your Friends can automatically see when you are on line, by default.  You can turn off this visibility,  but you have to do it for each friend individually.  In your Friends list, there is a grid of permission check boxes.  The one marked "Friends can see when I am online" should be checked for everyone in the list.

But maybe you mean that you are ACTUALLY invisible...when someone is standing right next to you, you cannot be seen.

This can be due to several causes.  If you CAN be seen, but look like a white cloud, see this page: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_bake_fail

If you can't be seen at all, you might have taken off a mesh clothing outfit, but still be wearing its alpha mask.  Check your Worn items (search inventory for "(Worn" with just a left parenthesis, and remove any alpha mask items you're wearing.
