1. He's busy in IM with the hussy at the club two sims over.

2. He's stepped away from his computer to grab a pizza.

3. He's Muted you. (Some guys just can't abide a nagging wife.)

4. He's Muted you. (Nobody likes a person who SHOUTS ALL THE TIME, and if you use text, ALL CAPS is considered "shouting." It's rude.
