i bought 1000 lindens but still I did not receive them in my account

i bought lindens 1000 but i am yet to receive in my account why is it taking such a long time??

Most likely you used the "Best Rate" Limit Buy option.  This is an offer to buy $L at a rate of exchange that you specify.  If you choose a rate close to the current exchange rate, it will be filled fairly quickly, as sellers willing to meet that rate are found.  But if the rate is unreasonable, it can take weeks, or even never.

You can cancel your current order by going to your Dashboard page and choosing Lindex/Manage/My $L Order History.  The money goes into your $USD Balance, and you can then use it to buy $L using the "Instant Buy" Market Buy purchase option.  Your order will be filled immediately at the current exchange rate.
