I'm from December, 2013 and this is the first look I have saved in my Outfits folder.

This is a picture from 8th June 2014 and it was taken using a photobooth at Tableau. I remember spent a lot of time in there trying all the animations. Good days!

And this is me now, all mesh. Taken on 17th April 2018.

So the bad truth is that SL casinos are still operating, under the radar. I found abandoned land and was surprised to see six green dots on the map, contained within a plain (non-textured) prim pyramid. I entered and this is the sight I captured:

I asked how they got around the gambling ban. The avatar in purple (right) said: "You are wrong, nobody is gambling, this is a bible study group." I took another picture and the croupier said "Kick him, he's taking pics!" I was then attacked by the avatar in red on the table (subsequent AR filed) and had to leave because I was being hit by missiles. I also saw someone place a bet with a value of 25,000L.

Gambling goes on in SL and I think the Lindens must not give a damn.

The usual opener I get is: "You look beautiful" Somtimes it is an innocent compliment but most of the time... I started answering "I better do - I payed a good bunch of Lindens to do so."

SO MUCH THIS!!! lol! Or, "You have such a sexy avie". It's almost never an innocent compliment.

    Nay.

As it happens I saw something on the Marketplace today I didn't know existed: breedable PLANTS! Seriously. Potted plants that interact with you (creepy, n'est pas?). They will IM you when they need watering. Yikes.

I know I've mentioned this in the past, but did you ever see the breedable shoes? Yes, you read that correctly, SHOES. That was a few years ago. The creator was an acquaintance, and tried to get me to invest. Weird, just weird, lol!

This is kinda related to the topic, in that suppliers of quality menswear are hard to come by: sadly, Kauna is closing down and all prices have been set to L$0.

I've just been to pick some things up for an alt - it's mostly formal/ traditional wear, but with enough variety/ huge range of colours and accessories to put together some unique/ stylish outfits. Also, no brand-rigged items but it is all mesh (and reputed to be good quality).

  7. Wow, memoriessssssss, light the cornersss of my miiiiiiiiind.

Okay, Bought my first home comp back in the '80s (some version of a Tandy color complete with dot matrix printer) instantly fell in love with the games (Leisure Suit Larry, Maniac Mansion, etc) then came dial up and I discovered chat rooms, used Prodigy, and all the typical stuff of the time.

In the late 90's, David Bowie, being the ever forward thinking genius that he was, launched the ISP BowieNet, which was amazing for it's time. The chat on the Bowie website was always great, and the great man was known to lurk and even occasionally post! I eventually stumbled on SL around 2006 with my first avie whose name I can no longer rememberO.o
