I hate to tell you this, but it's an SL issue- it's not just happening to you. Alot of others are having the same issue. It has been going on for days now- and seems to be going around from one region to another. On top of that, when regions are being restarted, items that you just rezzed are disappearing. I am an Estate Manager and have Land owners coming to me saying they can't delete. I do find with restarting the Region, it does help for a little while, but as I said there is a chance stuff will disappear and can't be found in your inventory, or lost and found- as it has happened to me. Waiting now to see if I can get a Roll back-

This isn't about the iMacs but does have to do with using a Quad Core- I just bought a New HP Deskktop with a nice 20 in. flat Screen Monitor. I had seen that Second Life under their specs page didn't know if a Quad Core Processor would work in Second Life because they have not tested one as of yet. Well I want Second Life to know that the HP Desktop with Windows 7 I just purchased has a AMD Athlon II Quad-Core Processor and I am using 64 Bit Performance with 6 GB DDR3 System Memory, with 1 Terabyte of Hard Drive. So anyone out there wondering if a Quad-Core works in SL- the answer is yes.
