  1. Hi Ryan, You may have figured it out by now, but there used to be a bug in the switchable graphics of many of the new computers. Newer laptops have a base graphic card and some, like yours and mine, have an additional higher end card. These laptops were designed to automatically switch from one to another depending upon need. In many cases, it worked great... but it does not work for OpenGL graphics. Second Life is OpenGL. I will assume that you have a HP Pavillion dv6 or dv7-61xx. About a month or two ago, HP released a new bios that allows you to manually force it to one card or the other. For SL, force it to the 6770m. Then, it will fly. I can run my on Ultra, no problem. You will have to possibly upgrade to the latest BIOS, enable it in the bios, at which time you will get an "Configure Switchable Graphics" when you right click the desktop. Use the "High-Performance gpu". The only downside to doing this is reduced battery life... but then you can always switch it back to basic when you are doing non-graphical things. Hope this helps
