Look under the Account Summary on your dashboard. Near the bottom it will show your Land Holdings. A premium account with an old 512 Linden home but no other land should have 1024 in Allowed holdlings, 512 in Current holdings and 512 as Available for purchase.

The extra 512 can be used to cover or help with tier elsewhere. You've had it all the while, but it hasn't been used.

Mine shows 512 was used out of 1024 but then it shows there's none available to use. And I never did use my other 512.

Linden Lab has *always* been prepayemnt for everuthing since the beginning. Not prepaying for something is getting it on credit. Wiould you trust us to pay for something SL after using it? I wouldn't. We deserve no "prize" - that, to me, is entitlement attitude of the most high. (I'm sure you were just venting LOL) - and I see that it was already clarified that you do not have to prepay anything with regard to the higher tier of Premium.

I was answerring the OP who was wondering if they should prepay the current year to keep the $72 price when they may go with the higher tier; they weren't sure about any upgrade ability or cost. I was using my own strategy as an example. :)

I wasn't saying an actual prize for prepayment. What I meant was since we were prepaying so far in advance with the current price before it goes up, when they have the Super Premium, those of us that are currently annual premium members that did prepay at the current price before the hike should be the super premium peeps. Then, go from there, after super, then regular premium, etc, each with different perks.

I did prepay, I was originally quarterly, I changed to yearly since I was due then they had this prepay so I paid another year so I actually paid for 2 years so I'm good till 2021.

No, you don't HAVE to prepay to be able to get the Super Duper Premium or to get your current membership term applied to it.  However, whatever is left on your regular Premium term will be used to calculated your pro-rated amount for the new Premium, if you choose to get it.  Thus if you have pre-paid a year, that is even more will be applied towards the Super Premium signup.

That makes more sense lol. Thanks LittleMe

Patch Linden answered this question of mine in another thread.

You should prepay your annual Premium now. When the new "Super Premium" [Lindedn words, if I recall - not mine) is announced, you will be able to upgrade from "current Premium" to that and any remaining time on your current premium will be applied as a pro-rated cost discount. In my case, my Premium renewal day is in February 2020, I extended it at the current rate until February 2021. So, theoretically, if they announce before the end of July and I choose to upgrade, I believe I will be able to do it for very little, if any cost. Though I presume the renewal date may change (not sure about that bit).

So, basically, again we would have to prepay? They haven't even really showed us why we should prepay now besides the rates going up. Those of us that are annual premiums now and did prepay that should be the super premium then go from there. That should be our "prize" for prepaying in advance the way that we did rather than paying again. smh...Now I'm really wondering, are we getting our money's worth out of SL right now? Yea, they did the new Linden homes. When I joined we had our 512 they gave us as premiums then they upped it to 1012, I never did get my other 512 did anyone else? Did they do something then that I missed?

Hopefully that makes sense, not trying to sound bitchy...this whole thing is starting to get confusing....Alyona Su, I'm not yelling at you, please don't take offence.

If I'm missing something here can someone tell me what it is?

so, they announced they gonna do like a new premium that is like "everything you could ever wants from second life" or something like that. I kinda wondering what that gonna be - some people saying maybe that how people gonna get the new second names, but what else could it offer? I welcomes the speculations!

Also, I wondering, is it worth holding off on my yearly premium renewing so I can instead get this level of super premium instead? They encouraging us to renew early to get the lower price, but I wanting to pay like, the higher price to get the fancy stuffs.....but only if they worth paying for. I unsure on all of this and curious if others also thinking about it.

I'm thinking it's possible that the yearly might be the super premium but will have added things to it since so many are yearly and did the prepay. If you wait till after June 24, you won't get the current pricing that everyone is getting right now. So my guess (don't quote me on this) but the yearly may become the super with more things added to what it has now and then maybe have other choices below it. We won't know till they release something. Just remember the deadline for the pre-pay pricing.

I don't think that LL should make the movie. I would suggest something like product placement. In the movie You've Got Mail, you see AOL on the computer screen. AOL became well known because of that. The movie came out in 1998. It was made in 1997. Most people didn't go on the internet then. I didn't get the internet until May 1999.  Somebody reading this, might know a Hollywood writer. They could contact the writer, and suggest the story.

Back then not a lot of people were on the internet because internet was being charged a price for a certain amount of hours then after that you had to pay by the hour. I remember because one month I had a 400.00 internet bill.  Oh, and that was thru AOL!

Let me tell you guys about two companies. One was Marx Toys, and the other one is Mattel. Back in the early 60s, Marx Toys made about $50 million a year. Mattel made about $12 million a year. In 1978, Marx Toys went out of business. While Marx Toys made more money than Mattel, Mattel used a larger part of its budget for advertising. Marx Toys did advertise, but not to the extent as Mattel. Today, Mattel is a large company. SL has been around for 16 years, but few people have heard of SL. Everybody has heard of Facebook, or Twitter. They are always in the news. So, LL needs to find ways to advertise, and get the company in the news. They should also try to get SL in movies. Here is a movie idea.

A man, and woman hate each other in RL. But they meet up in SL, and fall in love. We need younger actors to play the couple. So Tom Hanks, and Meg Ryan are out. Need somebody in their 30s. The movie would need a good title. During the movie, scenes would be filmed in SL. I suggest showing marinas in SL. Boat racing in SL. And pirate battles in SL. Other battles would also be shown, along with the inside of clubs.

You've pretty much described a movie that is already done like that. "Ready Player One". So, your movie idea needs to be different than what you described.

LL needs to advertise on radio, and on TV. I have seen some ads on the internet, but not much. So, LL needs to advertise more, but that will cost money. The only way for LL to advertise in a big way, is to make cuts else where. They need around $3,000,000.00 a year. Not as big amount as some companies, but still big enough to make an impact. They should also find some famous celebrities to endorse SL. How about Drew Carey? Carey was featured in the Sims game. He could be shown SL, and perhaps try SL out.

LL could offer one year of free premium to game show contestants. They could even win an island, and pay no tier for one year.

I dislike the Sims game....I usually get bored of games quickly. Surprisingly, SL is the longest one I've been in and played. The Sims bored me so bad lol.

Linden labs need to do something about their viewer. The amount of people who are turning away because of the confusing default viewer. I'm tired telling people
"IT'S NOT HARD, IT'S JUST THE VIEWER, LET ME SHOW YOU".

There's quite a few people that use third party viewers such as Firestorm being one of them. I do anyway and from what I've seen on here there's a few that do and all my friends in SL uses Firestorm as well.

My two cents would be to advertise more and in better places.I just found out about second life in February. I'm 35 and I was blown away. Not just because it's like something out of a sci-fi movie but mostly because I had never heard about it. I've spent most of my free time in front of my computer for most of my life and I never knew it existed. I just happened to see an ad for it while trying to find a way to hack an old laptop bios because it's old so who cares if I burn it up learning stuff and I figured a new mmo game could be fun. It's been amazing even though most of my experience felt like walking through some sort of post apocalyptic future society that had collapsed from some unknown catastrophe. I did end up finding some groups and made some really good friends already but I'm still feeling half amazed that it exists and still feeling completely mind blown that I never knew about it. Never even heard about it. I had absolutely no idea that anything like it existed. I would have been a steady user for the past 16 years but I didn't know it was there. Every time I log in it almost feels like I'm in the movie "Ready Player One" and I can't get over the fact that it's existed since 2003. Does Linden Labs even advertise? Other than that why only have one membership option? That doesn't make sense at all. That membership is the product. There should be as many options as possible to accommodate the variety of users. They should definitely have several options above the current premium but they should also add a couple cheaper options too for people who are willing to spend a little money  but don't care as much about the bells and whistles. The more products you have the wider your customer base will be. Of course your customer base will be zero if nobody knows about your product. I don't know if my personal experience is relevant but I just thought I would share. I want Second Life to stay around for a while. After all, I only just found out about it. :)

Welcome to Second Life. lol. I've been in it for 12 years and I found out about it when they happen to show it on the news and my boss at work at the time told me about it too. I made an account, and been here ever since. I even owned a club...was one of the longest running clubs near the beginning and was open for 6.5 years. I agree, SL does need to do more advertising....advertising is a BIG KEY to getting the word out there. HUGE!!!!

They said the pre-pay option would be made available today or tomorrow (June 3/4).  But you probably should call Billing to check to see that your regularly scheduled payment went through, if it gave you an error message.  800-294-1067 or 703-286-6277

I spoke with LL billing, it is separate. They also mentioned that the pre-pay set up should hopefully be up and ready sometime today. They are still working on it for the site and it will be set up in the Premium Membership tab. Thank you for your help Lindal, I appreciate it. :)

I just noticed the problem part is in the payout section saying there isn't enough funds to payout which is correct but it's weird because I never did request a payout. You think I should still call them anyway? It's under the process credit tab.

  13. I haven't seen it yet. My account was due yesterday and it took my one year and then says there was a problem???? Ummm, it's already out of my account. I want to do the prepay with the current rates but can't find it at the moment.

Someone last night said it would be listed under the memberships that we have but I don't see anything.

Anyone else having that issue or can't find where to prepay?

    Thanks.
