  1. Peggy, The problem is, as with almost all organizations, is getting the message to someone who can recognize what the issue is and handle it in an effective way is impossible. I need to convince someone to care about the issue. These Grid Monkeys might not KNOW about this attack and therefore don't know to connect it with the pressence issue. I have no idea how they connect- but I know that there is no way engineering will be able to connect it to anything if no one tells them they are THERE.
  2. Since the base generating prim is identical. LL could use one of the methods they have used in the past. LL has blacklisted objects before- such as the Megaprim they had to block to stop a griefing attack. They also have the IP Replacement tool that could scour the databases. I do not believe these are tools the less experienced weekend staff is exposed to and I am hoping that this is resolved with the weekday staff. Oh- and how do you know this "harmless" attack isn't what is causing the ghosting problems? Do you know how long the attack has been going on? I don't! I just know when I found it. I have not checked every mainland parcel. Yes, if everyone turned off object entry, this wouldn't happen. Vehicles would also be useless. Turning off object entry wholesale across the grid is not the solution. Cleaning the objects through a systematic server side attack would.
  3. Jira statistics for the developers has nothing to do with the support staff and a complete failure to understand the situation. the Lab is doing nothing about a spreading virus over the mainland- and the answer from suppor twas "The land owners have to clean it up"..... She ignored me when I pointed out it's on land owned by Govenor Linden.... I see no such statistics for customer support- as youw ould expect in a "transparent": oragnization- First Call resolution? Customer Satisfaction? Time to process tickets? Those are the statistics that would matter here- not Jira bugs. (Oh, and the statistics in JIRA are completely missleading because "closed" counts all the duplicate ones that robots close- or stuff marked 'will not fix" or "need more information"... the actual number of resolved issues can be seen in the changelogs- and I am less impressed with that.
  4. The latest comment on my ticket was "I manually cleared out a few regions- but I can't do them all, the property owners need to do it" Meanwhile it is spreading back to the regions she cleared. My reply "I guess this will wait till the weekday crew comes in on Monday"
  5. I don't think she's convinced yet that it's gridwide.
  6. A linden has appeared and just cleared Pini- I don'tknow where else or what else is being done.
  7. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Pini/30/129/33 Join us and be bounced around....
  8. What I am concerned about is there's almost no mainland region I have not found at least one of these on- ususally more than that. I can't say I know what the motivation is- but the spinning thing you mention spits out replicas- physical ones- and "throws" them... they find a new parcel they can enter, and start tossing more of them out- thereby replicating and replicating and spreading- And someone is laughing - "Look what I did and they don't even belive the person reporting it" http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Polia/82/112/47
  9. Make sure you put on transparancy - Here are just some spots- I could do this all night,. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Denrolimus/77/31/32 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Myron/158/87/32 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Myron/173/6/32 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Gibbosa/100/218/31 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bedstraw/111/239/48 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cisthene/68/99/91 <- Notice at 91M... fly first! and then look down! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bedstraw/95/6/66
  10. It's active right now- I showed her- There is a self-replicating object owned by ****** Resident that is transparent that is self-replicating and throws off invisible temponrez prims. the object is created by AZ***** ****. Everywhere with object entry on I have gone to that is close to another parcel that the physical object can reach, has one.
  11. Press Ctrl-T and you will see something different.
  12. There is a massive griefing attack going on across mainland. I have found griefing objects on Argius, Telea, Pini, Lyonet. Burnet, Albata, Celerio, Velox, Tenera, Lutra, Grahica 3 Premium Members (Once Concierge) have filed over a dozen AR's in the last 24 hours- Three tickets have been submitted (one each) and LL's reply to the tickets was "Do an AR". What needs to be done to convince Linden Labs that the reason they are losing customers and people don't stay is because their customer service is horrid. I spent my time going to TEN regions and all were impacted- I stopped then figuring "ok, this is enough to get someone to take a look".... of course, nothing is being done. Why is the mainland all abandoned and yellow? Because of this Linden Labs.... because there's nothing done when problems are reported on mainland unless we shake the rafters. So- What has to be done to get someone at the Labs to pay attention to this?
