  1. AMD chips run hot naturally, but pushing them with graphics combined can really heat them up, I will admit mine never wandered into the danger zone for heat, but I replaced the cooler to be on the safe side and it was a worthwhile upgrade.
  2. Yes they do fine, but of course, this is a new generation of integrated graphics. I have an a10-6800k, it comes with an 8670d and is not really a slouch for an integrated solution. The one you mentioned comes with an R7 250(much better than the 8670d) I believe. They will perform fine at mid range and may even do shadows for you on non-crowded sims. Heat is really an issue with the APUs. They do come with cooling fans but they are marginal at best. If you get a better cooler you should be ok until you decide you want a dedicated graphics card. The benchmarks are for games in DirectX and I can tell you with crossifre enabled with a compatable card, the APU is an amazing creature for non-openGL games. I had mine crossfired with a dedicated R7 250 LP . I didn't have disappointing results with just an APU in SL,but I didn't push the hardware trying to make it do what I knew it probably couldn't. Eventually I got one of the new gtx 750 ti's by Nvidia, solid little low power card and no complaints.
  3. I thought I would come back to say that what LL told me about the inventory 'sorting itself over time' was indeed true. It did finally correct and all has been fine for couple months. Yay!
  4. As a chance, I logged into the beta grid and my inventory loads fine, all the items that are not wearable/rezzable on the main grid work fine on the beta grid. I still have folder craziness, like multiples of system folders, but everything works only on beta. Clearing caches fresh installs, and it's pretty much the same.
  5. I have tried it on a friends machine who doesn't even use Second Life, and it's the same thing. I really am boggled.
  6. Hi Rolig thanks for the reply. I have recently been through another round with support. They even asked to log in to my account, which I allowed. They then tell me, that they can't see anything 'wrong', as if the avatar wearing nearly everything in there and not being able to change it is expected behavior? I was then told to file *another* bug report, which I did months ago, so I am not sure what filing another would do at this point. Basically this is what happens: I login, avatar is wearing nearly all clothing items and attachments. I remove them, remove clothing, and select one of the default inventory avatars. I then go through and delete all of my inventory stuff, empty trash and relog. Upon login, the avatar is wearing ALL the items again, all deleted items are as they were, it's like the inventory is 'frozen in place'. I have done everything, fresh installs of viewer and OS, clear cache , you name it. I have done it. This tells me it IS something on their end, not mine. If anyone has any more suggestions at this point- I am open to them. As far as being relaxed, lol, I don't know about that.
  7. It is now May 2013, the issue still persists. I really have no clue at this point.
  8. Hi Rolig, ty for responding. Yes, I filed a ticket and they tried reset scripts at least 3 times on the account and still it was not fixed. From what I gather, the inventory repair tools themselves are broken. I put the requests in after the account was reactivated.
  9. I found this post again for an update: 6 months later and my avatar is still non functioning. Now, what I think is they will not fix it , perhaps coaxing me into a paid account, and even then there's no promise that will work either. I don't expect things to be perfect, but I can't even use the basic functions of my avatar, like wearing outfits, changing, or even rezzing items. Out of ideas here.
  10. I am also having this issue with this account, reactivated today in fact. I have tried all the bake fail tips, swapping avatar parts, clearing cache, trying different viewers-it wont fix. If i change my avatar and log out and back in, I am asked to choose gender and my av is reset to default with none of the items I had showing up in inventory. I have a basic account, not sure filing a ticket would do any good without having premium at this point. Its frustrating.
