And its down again!

So frustrating!

Hey all. I recently purchased a new laptop Lenovo. Quite often a pop up states that I am running out of storage space. I look through my folders and lo and behold there are about 6 video captures of second life that run for over an hour each. I am not doing this and I am not sure how it is happening. I use firestorm and I read that you cannot video capture within this viewer. I have not downloaded any video capture software so I am not sure how this is happening. Does anyone know what could be causing this??

Hey thank you to both of you that gave me some excellent tips. It turned out that the region was sick and it needed a Doctor lol. Everything has returned to normal which is great. Thank you again.

I have tried to IM friends on my contact list and i cant even do that. Nothing is working. Please help me!!!

Hey there, This is the first time its ever happened to me in my whole SL life and it is very frustrating. Firstly i am ghosted. Secondly when i right click on my fog i cannot change appearance. When i right click on my groups they have all disapeared. I cannot go to my outfits folder and change my outfit because the option has gone for that has gone as well. I have tried rebaking and that still hasnt helped. Its almost as if my avatar has become non existant. Please help with any ideas. Thanks in advance.

About 4 months ago I purchased a new computer and I can play all types of graphic heavy games on it. However I have not been able to log in to second life. Whenever I try SL seems to freeze and a little message comes up the top saying "not responding" I cannot understand this. In the past ive always played SL on a laptop but this time around I decided to buy a desk top computer and SL just wont load :( Here are the specs if this helps at all with my problem. Ok good news folks. I decided to download the firestorm beta version of Phoenix and i was able to login *yippppeeeee* Thankyou so much everyone for trying to help...its very much appreciated *hugs*

Oh well i tried the complete uninstall and it still isnt working :matte-motes-frown: I guess i have been wanting to leave SL for awhile now, and i did stay away for about 5 weeks, just came back over the weekend so i guess that is a sign that im not meant to be for sl anymore. Which completely sucks because i was enjoying being back. Thanks everyone for your help but nothing seems to be working atm. Feeling quite sad tbh *sighs*

Hey there i checked to see if she was ghosted inworld as soon as it happened, but sadly that isnt it as well. Ill try and restart my computer and see if that helps. I really dont want to be stuck with my alt, ive spent lots of money on the primary one. Anyway wish me luck all

Sadly its still not working. The bar isnt progressing at all when i try to log in , and i really dont feel comfortable trying the manual way. I have also tryed reinstalling Phoenix and updating to the new one but still not working. I was on sl this morning without any problems but then i just crashed and since then i havent been able to relog, only as my alt av.

Thanks, im trying this from the login screen now. Ill let you know how it goes, currently is says it is clearing cache *keeping fingers crossed*

Hey there, the blue bar just doesnt progress. It says checking cache then it just stops, and stays stuck.

ok i eally dont know where to post this because i couldnt find a help forum. Anyway i cant log in at all as this avatar, i have been trying for the last hour. However i can log in as my alt. This is hapening on both the SL viewer and the Phoenix viewer. I really dont want to be logging in on my alts account becuse to be honest i dont like her much. So does anyone know what could be possibly happening?? Thanks in advance for any help :matte-motes-asleep-2:

Also before textures load on houses and furniture for example i have see writing as well...its just absolutely crasy and i just dont understand this. Ive been around sl on and off since 2008 now and ive never experienced this.

Hey there things have got way worse now. I tried everything and avs were still grey. So i decided to uninstall and then reinstall. Now all the avs look like newspapers if that makes sense. They are black and white and you can sort of see some sort of printed words on their bodys. I know this sounds like a joke, but this is seriously doing my head in completely Im ready to seriously give up on sl because i cant be inworld and i cant even see who im interacting with. Im kinda at my wits end now. I cant see how its my internet connection. I have another internet connection that i tried out and it was the same thing. Even worse. SIGHS Thankyou for eveyrone trying though.

Hey thanks everyone for your replys , ill give al these things ago...ive put graphics on low so far, decreased avatar and draw distance but that hasnt helped so ill look at the other things Someone asked me what has changed in the last 2 weeks, and thats the thing nothing has changed. Just for some reason textures have just become very slow to load. Thankyou again everyone I hope this helps

Hey thanks for the reply, im on the imprudence viewer so im still not sure if my settings are right. My internet connection is quite quick so not sure if its that. Anyway ive never changed my settings so im not sure why its doing this now. Im still seeing alot of grey people

oh and one more thing. When the colour starts to appear the avatars faces are then all blurred for another 10 minutes grrrrr. Is this something everyone else is experiencing as well. Other games that i play dont experience this problem so i dont beleive its my computer Thanks in advance again

Hey i reallly didnt know where else to post this. However recently on sl when i go to a place with alot of avatars they all appear grey for at least 10 minutes and its terrbily frustrating waiting for everyone to rezz. Ive cleared my cache but i really dont know what else to do to make everyone rezz faster. It wasnt like this at least 2 weeks ago but now its a constant thing .My avatar rezzes straight away though. Anyone know how i can fix this problem, im figuring atm its not really worth being on sl when all there are is grey people lol. Help..thanks in advance {)
