  1. So I saw one of my items being sold on a 3rd party website and I'm not sure how to report it since it is not inside SL. Any suggestions?
  2. I'm looking to create a more updated and high quality look for my outdoor square and some fresh ideas and concepts would be great. I don't want to move any buildings (with the exception of the bakery) but generally give the square a unique look. Please send me a NC inworld with reference pics of past work and pricing. Thank you! Feel free to take a look at the area to get an idea if this would be interesting for you. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tihuta/96/74/1802
  3. I'm trying to create a Lelutka makeup HUD that will make a steampunk mask appear when you press the button, unfortunately the mask covers the eyes and some of the nose as well. I tried getting the script to apply the same texture to both zones at once, but I seem to be failing. Anyway, the only zones I see available to use are MakeUp1, MakeUp2, and Hairbase. Any suggestions? I didn't see another creator kit available for face tattoos, for example.

  5. I'm looking for a kind soul who might be willing to give me some suggestions as to how to improve the layout of my small square. I feel like it's a bit of a mish mash and could use some creative guidance. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tihuta/96/74/1802

  12. I have the DAE file as well, but I thought the .Obj would be more useful. Obviously, I know very little about mesh building.
  13. I recently purchased a mesh template which seems to have a small mistake on the M and L size. (I tried the S size demo before purchasing) Anyway, it seems like there is a small spot which is unrigged and the material stretches a bit on the breast during movement. Well, I don't know a thing about making mesh and I apologize if this is a stupid question. Is it possible with the .obj file to fix this small mistake? I really love the template and I don't want to compromise quality for my customers. Is there anyone willing to try and how much would it cost? The original creator is unavailable. Thank you!
  14. Parrish, the above link does not work, and simply removing the extra http does not work either. Can you try to repost the correct link? Thanks.

  16. I have owned the land my shop is on for 4 years and I have no plans to move. We are a steady, secure place to be. Feel free to stop by and see if our small community would fit with your products and sales needs. Both shops have 2 floors. One is available for 250L/week for 100 prims and the other shop is larger so prims can be negotiated. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tihuta/72/150/1802
  17. Hello Charlot. Sent you a NC inworld. Have a great day!
  18. Thanks for your in-depth answer imnotgoing. I know this won't override the current permissions and I can understand having this option for full perm items, but I sell copy, mod clothing, so where does this license fit in with my items? I don't think a creative commons license would fit my situation.
  19. I suppose it makes sense to have it, but I can't help but feel that having a line scratched through the user-licensed option in permissions gives theives the feeling that they are fully entitled to copy and do whatever they like with items. I imagine they felt the same way before...but this just makes me feel more vulnerable. What would be required to actually license items? Is it even worth it?
  20. Thank you all for your insightful responses. Hmph...so now if I screw up I can't blame the program. haha.
  21. You're right, Chosen. I'm so sorry..I should have checked the link first before assuming it was where I got the PSDs. I downloaded my original .obj straight from the SL website. I just tried the ones from the link you sent and it is working fine now. So, there WAS something wrong with the .obj file. I was going crazy all day and yesterday trying to figure it out. Thank you so much! Forgot to answer your question about changing the original .obj file in another program. No, I didn't do anything to it except bring it into PS.
  22. Thank you Chosen. I will try that..although I do have those smart PSD files from Robin's website, however, when I open them, they do not create a 3D model. They show up as a flat 2D image just as if you opened any upper or lower template PSD. Since it did not show up the same for me, I assumed that the tutorial was using an OBJ and just did not mention it. Is there something I can do to make it appear in the same way an obj would appear?
  23. I have been trudging away trying to learn Blender but then I started to read some threads from people complaining that maybe the type of mesh in Blender will create rigged mesh clothing with blockier movement (if I understand correctly, which I probably don't). So if I want to create very high quality skirts and other clothing items within SL, is there a program that would be better for me to learn, such as Maya or 3D Max? I apologize if this is already in the threads but I did a search and didn't come across an answer to this particular question.
  24. Hello..I'm trying to follow Robin Wood's PS CS4 tutorial and also I watched a similar tutorial from Exodus. The problem seems to be, when they paint on the avatar, the texture shows up perfectly, but when I do the same steps, the texture shows up invisible in most places. I have incuded a picture to show what I mean. I must have something configured wrong or am just missing some simple step. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? Thanks for any suggestions! By the way...I can load an external texture without a problem I just hid it since that isn't my problem. It is just painting directly on. I am using the SL female .obj file.
  25. I worked as a systems administrator at an ISP for a few years and then slowly moved into building websites. Since opening a store in SL, I find that more than anything else, I love the aspect of creating textures, building and working with 3d programs. I'm still not very far into 3d programs yet, but I am hoping to advance. Basically, I have invested a lot of time improving my photoshop skills, learning sculpting, etc. My question is, in what kind of RL job can I apply these skills? I would love to live just on what I earn from my store, but I don't see that happening anytime soon and I am losing interest in my current job (which doesn't pay very well either). I have a bachelors degree, but no specialized classes in this field. Does anybody know in what kind of field I might want to look? Thanks for any suggestions! :)
