I hope you'll "use your braintrust;" the millions of us who are inworld and doing what we can to make it an engaging and rewarding experience.

And I'll stick my neck out a bit; don't ignore the Adult worlds of SL.  We're the elephant in the room in many of these discussions, and it's important to realize that people are using SL to experiment with parts of themselves that, for many reasons, RL doesn't make possible.
