I thought that was a joke.  Did that really happen?   I'm afraid to look it up because of what I might find.

Ugh, not the school litter boxes again! Despite what you might have heard, this rumor has been thoroughly debunked by multiple reliable sources, including school officials and experts. Always fact-check before sharing information. The claim that students are using litter boxes provided by schools is baseless and potentially harmful. It’s important to avoid perpetuating misinformation, especially when certain political types latch onto such topics. My friend even mentioned that their coworkers were ranting about this recently. Litterboxes in schools for "furries" or anyone else is not.a.thing.

Ok - I keep seeing these posts insisting that people are being ejected solely based on their height.

To test this, I put on my Death of Rats avatar (PTerry lives!). My shape comes in to 1.33 meters according to firestorm, and 0.9 meters by prim measurement. Avatar deformation for the win :)

I then went into search, unticked G and M (leaving only A) and typed in SEX, and started teleporting to sims. I teleported to the top 10 of the list.

Then I searched for SHOPPING, and started teleporting. I went to the top 10 of the list.

Then I searched for NO KIDS ... but because no is too short and was eliminated the search ended up being KIDS and I got a whole bunch of locations that I wouldn't go to just in case, but I did look at their descriptions and most of them were there because they had "NO KIDS" in their keywords.

Then I searched for ADULTS ONLY, and again hit the top 10 of the list.

I won't continue with all the searches I did ... but the results were ONE. A single location which specified very clearly that you had to be 1.52 meters (apparently that's 5 feet tall).  It gave me a minute to change to a taller avatar.

    Out of 100 hundred teleports.

I encountered three which I had to leave because their rules stated "Human Avatars only".

If these height ejection mechanisms are as prevalent as people would like us to believe ... I would have expected to hit more than one.

I'm not saying that they aren't out there, because finding one means that they exist ... but I think one percent is a pretty low average when you consider that I purposely selected high traffic regions which were MORE likely to employ such devices.

Just for the sake of completeness I'll note that several of the dancers who greeted me on arrival at some of the regions were rather amused at the 3 foot tall rat that had just arrived in their midst! :D

Rats are cute. As are maus.

Yet, it has to be me of course, who has to remind people there are OBJECTIVE traits of  youth and old, and again - albeit they can be skewed with clothing, makeup and accessories, toys and even hairstyles.

Now everyone, lets argue how there isn't objective, and return to the all popular 2024 way of thinking that "If I percieve it as so, then it is so" type garbage.

I'm not going to argue anything. I don't even police other people's avatars.

    Hey Mink!

My Little Pony avatars are adults unless they're using a foal mod or specifically say they're kids. Chibis, Dinkies, and Tinies are fine too. As for the Twi Puppy, the choice was made at the club to not allow any representations of a child regardless of species to be on the safe side (and this was way before the TOS change).

Greets, Minty! I think I got it. Thanks for the clarity. It will assist me and my friend in deciding what is fine for my own adult region.

If you are talking technicalities the club could have banned the avatar based on the fact they didn't like the earrings they were wearing. Nope, don't like it. BANNED.

Landowners can ban you for any reason they want.

I meant in regards to the new changes in the TOS re: child avatars ^.^ As a landowner I already knew about the banning for any reason I want.

MLP is not human. Whether or not a club bans them or not has no bearing at all. I would assume if you can go shopping in a robot avatar that you can also go shopping in a MLP avatar...unless well it has the head or body of a child avi.

I think I got it? The TWI wolf puppy isn't a human either, so technically that adult club didn't have / need to ban it?

wish to know where that line is.

I previously wrote about my friend wanting to know if My Little Pony (OpenPony) would be allowed on A-rated land. Or rather one of her regulars who was 24-7/365 an OpenPony could continue to be allowed. So I want to know as well? I was merely quoting Linden Lab's FAQ. They said to just create a non-human avatar like they answered in the FAQ portion about going out shopping, but I dunno exactly what kind of non-human other than the LL library avatars and the robots they meant. There is a club that bans TWI wolf puppy avatars from their adult region, so would MLP with their big eyes be allowed? (Being big eyes is supposedly one of the tells.) I am an anime / manga character myself (albeit modeled after a 21 year old character) so I am invested in this topic.

This presumes guilt. Why are you wanting people banned by accident for breaking rules with unknowable criteria.

The rules make specific requirements, yet leave it up to the user to guess.

There is a speed limit and a cop. Good luck.

Um, I don't want people banned by accident for breaking rules with unknowable criteria. I was quoting Linden Lab.

Define child avatar?   Size, look, shape.  LL needs to clear that up.  If I wear tshirts, jeans and sneakers, am I a child?  What about my height?   The girl in the apartment next door to me looks like she is 12. I know she is in her mid twenties.    She is just small.

So how big do I have to be fore I'm no longer a considered child?   Does my breast size count?  What about size of my waist?   These may seem like nonsense questions to you but to me they are real because one of the options I'm considering is "aging up."

So how big do I have to be?

https://lindenlab.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/31000173097-child-avatar-faq/#Q%3A-How-do-you-define-a-child-avatar? Don't take this wrong way but Linden Lab has already said they ain't gunner clear it up. "Creating a list of specifications for something like this can be a slippery slope, and we certainly don’t want to give out directions on how to circumvent any policies."

  10. Asking for a friend (really I do have a real friend, not a fictional one!) who wants to know about the My Little Pony "rip-offs" like OpenPony or whatever; I'm not into that scene so can't tell you what "brands," other than the one she mentioned. She expressed concern about one of her regulars who has such an avatar, if they would continue to be allowed at an Adult region or not. I just know they are small and have large eyes, not an "age" to them neccessarily. (I suppose this falls under furries? I have no idea.) But she was concerned and I had no answer for her.

  11. I'm not a "weirdo," as was so eloquently put. As a part-time roleplayer, the heights of my avatars depends on their nature. I sometimes create my own original characters, just as an author decides how tall or short their characters are in a book, I decide the height of my characters based on the type of creature or class they are. So if I want to imagine my character as an eight-foot-tall demon, I can do that, making an eight foot tall avatar in SL. Other people get to decide if they want to interact with the character (me) or not, but they don't get to disparage and belittle me for my choice.

  12. As a gender-fluid individual, I seek places where I can feel comfortable. The only place I can think of that may or may not be appropriate is Harlow's. Harlow’s is a woman-only club, with no male avatars. It claims to be the longest female-ran place in SL. However! It’s a music and dance venue. I attended once (in a female avatar of course!), but as a woman in real life who plays many a different male avatar (because I can't stop at just one), it doesn't feel like the right fit for me.

I'm sorry that I cannot be more helpful.

  13. As an extroverted person, I thrive on social interactions, but my social skills sometimes hold me back. It took me a considerable amount of time to connect with people who share my sense of being an outcast in real life. While I draw energy from groups, I don’t feel the urge to engage in voice chats or explore VRChat (perhaps because I consider myself a bit “old” for that and the goggles make me feel ill). Texting and role-playing suffice for me.

My imagination is a powerful asset—I used to be an artist, and I still enjoy putting together avatars and acting out in various roles. Fictional characters captivate me; their stories and complexities fascinate me deeply. Being extroverted doesn’t mean I never crave solitude; there are moments when I intentionally pursue activities alone. After all, not everyone shares my interests.

Ultimately, companionship matters most to me. Whether it’s discussing the real world, engaging in role-play, exploring, or simply enjoying music and dancing with other avatars, I seek connection. Unfortunately, life doesn’t always align with our desires; people have their off days. Second Life provides me with an avenue to communicate, especially since I often feel hopeless in face-to-face interactions. As an extrovert, I don’t always need to be the life of the party or have an entourage. I stumble at times, and I’ve never been one to confine individuals to tiny, cramped boxes—that seems unrealistic to me.

  14. I am seeking someone who could create an acorn or similar shaped gravestone-colored plaque I can put on a wall, and I am willing to pay 1,000 L$. I won't need a picture, just text, on it.

Written on it in Classic Roman Font (or another appropriate font if that one isn't doable):

    In loving memory

DJ Ezrin Sabre (Celeste) and beloved friend to many

Co-founder of Ari-Sen and the Heart of Gold

  15. I upgraded to the Premium Plus. For the past two weeks, Governor Linden has not been taking out the $L30 parcel directory fee like it used to. I double-checked to see if the box was still clicked on the parcel and it is. Is that parcel directory fee waived, because I'm Premium Plus or is it a glitch/oversight? I don't want to be caught unawares by an "in arrears" $L debt.

  16. After reading some of these opinions, I guess I'm a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman. Discussions on what a man or woman is supposed to act or not supposed to act are why I am gender-questioning in reals on an almost daily basis. It makes me wonder if this is why I don't fit in anywhere. I haven't found a gender-fluid community or tribe so to speak, so I feel as if I'm adrift and lost in real life. If there's another planet that I am supposed to live on, I hope to go soon, because this one is not my home.

  17. I'm hearing that an asymmetrical tattoo or layer can be created for Slink Physique Redux male for the left arm, using the harness?

If so I would like to hire/commission an artist to create a healing burn scar tattoo/BOM if possible, for use on the left arm, but not the hand, just the arm (mid-upper arm to lower fore-arm)

Am also looking to pay the artist in USD.

    Thanks.
