This issues seems to be in multiple threads on this forum (that the .dae and .fbx files in the zip from the Secondlife Wiki don't import correctly into 3dsmax) and I haven't been able to find the solution!

Was there ever a fix for this? I'm having the same issue and it's driving me a little insane...
