  1. Most items you buy come in boxes...you need to open them to get at the actual goodies Here's a how-to...Look down the bottom of your screen, check -Build- is not grayed out. If it looks the same as the other buttons nearby (Search, Map etc) you are good to go If it is grayed out, fly or teleport to a sandbox or an area you know where Build is allowed for anyone. Once you get to a Build enabled area open your Inventory (that's where all your SL 'stuff' is kept), the Inventory button is at bottom right of your screen......near the top of the Inventory window, you will see this; 'Type here to search', if you know the name or partial name of the item you want to open, type it there...the item should show up just below. (Note. Most times, objects you buy or get as freebies will be in your -Objects- folder in your -Inventory-, but not always, so you can sometimes look there first). Once you have found your boxed item, left mouse click and HOLD that click...now drag it to the ground, then release the left click. Phew, almost done....the rest is easy OK, so...right click the object that is laying there on the ground. The -Pie Menu- opens, round thing, various clicky things there...select 'Open'.....you will see a folder listing all of the object's contents....you'll also see down the bottom left 'Copy to inventory', so click that. This will now put the contents of the box into your Inventory (if there happens to be a -No Copy- item inside the box, you will get a warning message asking 'Move the inventory item(s)?'....click OK if you see that, nothing bad will happen...it just means your item(s) will be non-copyable within your Inventory). You may now see a notecard or two pop up, perhaps a Landmark (LM) if the box/item creator chose to include those in there (helpful instructions, advertisements for their store etc). You are pretty much done now, the items will have been transferred into your Inventory, usually to a folder called pretty much the same as the item you bought Derek Sienkiewicz
