Great night Lillie. How you could continue singing after the damsel in the clodhoppers showed up is quiet an art.

I was able to continue because I closed my eyes.  Hahaha.

I just can't say enough how grateful I am for the fantastic group of people I have become friends with here.  I am very much looking forward to the next get together.

Now, I need somewhere to wear my new dress. I'm dying to wear it... hehe

  2. What a night.  I have no words to describe it.  I've looked through the thesaurus and I just can't find the right word.  and *CENSORED* in the matching dress, tiara, and those muddy muddy boots.

    Love you all!!  xxxx

  3. I wanted to say thank you to everyone who came out last night to support me at Pannies!  You guys are really the best!  I apologize for not being able to name everyone who was there.
It's always more fun when everyone is interacting and overacting in some cases.  Just a couple of thoughts on the evening:

    • Keli, thank you for inviting me to the Hangout last night to hear Mags fantastic DJing.  Mags you rocked!
    • Thank you to my Ladies who Lunch for your fantastical skills as backup dancers.
    • I'm glad Maddy didn't fall off the stage
    • Dillon, I did not wake up with a headache, despite you being tp'd directly onto my head on stage.  You know how to make an entrance
    • Quinn, thank you for staying up so late and sacrificing your precious sleep to hear me butcher some otherwise beautiful songs.
    • Gypsy, thank you again for recommending me to Pannie, and for your help when I first started this journey!
    • Suspiria, thank you for putting word out there, and for the embarrassing videos.  :P
    • GG and Mieke, thank you for the encouragement and idea to try to to begin with!

There was so much going on, I could not read the chat, so forgive me for not mentioning something specific to everyone.  You all are awesome, and I'm honored that you took your time to come and hang out with me!

I just wanted to say thanks!!!

(edited to add some I forgot to mention in the beginning)

  4. I loved the truth behind this quote from Helen Keller.  It makes me think how when you start to develop feelings in your heart for someone they become more beautiful in your eyes.  So upon pondering this statement by Helen, and my own observation I imagine how much more amplified your heart feelings would be if you cannot see the person you've come to love.

Cheesy?  Maybe.  But I enjoy cheese.

Suspiria, someone actually invited me to that show and I didn't go because I had to go RL early that night, so I purely hate that you posted that video just to rub it in.:smileysad:

On the plus side I thought I saw on another thread today that Lillie's doing a St. Patty's day gig that starts late enough to do the Hangout party too. Could be wrong but I'll check.

@Storm: There are already several posts from guys in this thread; they might object to being moved to Sladies Who Lunch :smileywink:

Hey Dillon!  I am way behind in my forum reading, email reading/writing, and everything else! I am singing tomorrow (Thursday) at 8pm sl time.  Once again it's late, I know.  I didn't even think about it being St. Patricks day... lol

I love Open Air too. (camera works better when there are no walls) My two favorite performers would have to be Lillie Woodells and Gypsy Quixote.
    :)

Thank you Keli!  I'm flattered to be listed there with the great Gypsy!  That man really and truely has talent, and on a side and person note... what a voice!!!

There are a ton of great places to find live performers and an amazing bunch of fantastic performers out there!

The first live performer that made an impact on me was Maximillion Kleen.  I perform bi-weekly at Pannie's and Rosedrop Media Circus, you can im me inworld for a lm.  I know Gypsy performs there regularly as well, and Pannie has a wonderful troup of folks she welcomes on her stage.  It's always a lot of fun, but man is it hard to perform after some of those folks.....

@Lillie, that's cool I am sure Sassy and I could come up with some great costumes for the guys. You know little frilly things.

Edited to mention you sounded great girl.

lol Thank you DQ.  I promise to sound better next time.  I would love to see what kind of costumes you guys would come up with.  lol  This sounds like such a blast, but I noticed no men have volunteered yet.

  8. Thank you Quinn!  Credit where credit is due!!!  At times it is difficult to follow the conversation while I'm singing, otherwise I end up laughing during the song, or totally botching the words.  Thank you for keeping me straight!  :D

I have been thinking about last night off an on all day at work and it keeps brining a smile to my face.  It still amazes me how we can meet people from all over the world, who have totally different views and opinions then we do, and still embrace them as true friends.  I feel blessed to have friends like you, Maddy, Suzy, DQ, and all the others who I've met through this forum and the grid.

I am planning to do some work on that track, so the sound quality is better, and practice it so my singing doesn't peel the wallpaper from the walls, and make it the final song of each performance when my girls are in attendance!  So be prepared to climb up on stage with me!

  9. Oh this is awesome!  Like you Suzy, the funny, crazy moments are the real reason I log in too.  My first trip to hear a real live singer in SL was after my best friend and I had been fishing.  We put on all of our wearable catches, an old tire, pirate hat, snorkle, flippers, and bikini top with men's swim trunks, and poles in hand danced our hearts out.  The singer even did a "fishy" song just for us!  I'll have to dig out pictures later.

We also danced in a freebie place dressed like that, only making our av's more short and stout and turning off AOs.  We got some nice $1L tips from people too!  Not everything in a freebie place is free.  Entertainment is worth every penny you spend!

    :smileyvery-happy:

Here is to creating more rib ache worthy moments!!!

  10. Haha  Thank you so much Suzy!  I sound awful, but I don't care, that was so much fun!   I have to say I love how Maddy is kind of out front there in the middle, the set up was absolutly perfect!  And there was no set up!!!  I think it was Quinn that made the comment, "This is where SL really shines"  I was thinking the same thing.  It was my worst sung song of the night but still the best one!
