Well you see the melaninly enhanced race have been described with many different words over the centuries, I'd list a few, but they are all bad, banned words. The accepted term constantly changes, leaving only relict usages from times past such as the United N**** College Fund, or the National Association for the Advancement of C****** People.

It's mainly guilt ridden whites that keep changing the term to keep up with the latest version of political correctness.

So anyway, who can tell me the proper PC term this week.

Associating p*dophilia with the broader LGBTQ+ community has been a tried and true strategy of homophobes and transphobes since at least the 1970s.

The vast majority of child molesters are straight. Let's not feed this kind of deliberate distortion please.

I must have missed something, I didn’t see how she was tying alphabet people with “that” activity, I thought she was giving examples of people outside the range of “normal” that could be banned under the new “stay away from anything adult” rule.

IF they are involved in adult activities with underage appearing avatars.  The above statement is a gross exaggeration of what has been said.

its not a gross exageration  if non conforming avis are banned from any place with adult content, which is about 90% of second life.

Note: yes its true, I made up that number 😂

Those stuck up clubs are boring as hell.  Peeps like to have fun in SL, not pretend they are the Queen and King of Tavolara.

Ironically since i jelly everyone, it doesnt matter to me if someone is a basic noob avi, or has all the latest and greatest must haves.

    Jelly makes everyone equal 😂

Very true. Some venues don't want that stuff, and will remove noob looking avatars, and height has nothing to do with it. Some places like to maintain standards, to make them more appealing to the people they do want to go there, ie. attractive avatars.

yea, some clubs are snobbish, they only want beautiful people in their clubs. Well, the more people you exclude, the smaller your pool of potential visitors

I had a black guy kick me out of his club one time... his reasoning, "i don't want anyone in here that wears donkey ears". I said hey, they are bunny ears, and I think you'd be a bit more considerate, considering...

if we have the gestures to go with this then in lots of places we either get muted or kick banned by grumpy parcel owners. The big meanies !!!

I nearly got kicked out of a nude beach once because I called another avatar mom. Adults can't have parents?

The woman that wanted to kick me was like 8 ft tall, so I could understand her confusion thinking I was underage

  7. I guess LL will just have to ban all child avatars, and all the content designed for child avatars.

And then of course they will have to ban all avatars under 6 feet

And then they will have to ban all items of clothing that are too young looking, like super short school girl skirts, young looking hairstyles, etc etc.

    Its endless isn't it?

Instead why not just ban people actually caught in carnal knowledge with a minor, and the minor too of course, because they are just as much to blame, since they aren't actually minors, they are just playing one.

I've seen and experienced this even yesterday when I logged in at home alone in after a couple weeks and had 2 IM's from others relay what they'd like to do to me in such a way as to insinuate I was in a tween sort of look. It is difficult situation when one is roleplaying a character to then authentically refuse an adult who is looking for more then just a cuddle or sit on their knee.

ugh, why would you even cuddle or sit on some creeps knee. You know what they are always after.

I refuse to cuddle guys i dont know, and rarely cuddle guys i do know.

It NEVER stops at just a cuddle.

I've never once been asked if I was over 18, go figure.  If it happened just once, I'd let it go but if it happened "quite often", I think I'd have to reassess my look.

Lol, im never asked if im over 18 because I look over 18, but i do get imed by guys looking for a sweet young thing.

This is from others who want a younger looking avatar and want them to pretend they are. There is a good contingent out there who prey on anyone they can convince to be a baby girl/boy. You both know how many "sugar" daddies are out there and other sorts of "groomers". They look for the vulnerable who might not have a lot of Lindens and try to transform their look and attitude to one that they personally are attracted to.  They are not looking for some 30 year old something so you're safe but anyone looking younger they will make a project of and try to convince them they are even younger.

If LL rids itself of all the younger avatars, they will be left with this sizable group who will continue to prey on the most vulnerable to rework them into the image they are attracted to. The witch hunting by LL and those who dislike child avatars, will continue having the problem because they are not focusing on the real problem, only attempting to rid themselves of those who are a temptation.

a lot of guys have the hots for underage avis.

im short, so they are hopeful ill fulfill their fantasy.

Sorry, not changing my look just to stop creeps from iming me asking about my tight young [censored].

And when they do mention it, I tell them kegels are your friend 😂

There , I saved the mods the trouble.

any time time some guy ims me and tells me what a hot young body i have, i mmediatly reply you mean a hot young over 18 body right?

Im normal human height and dont look like a kid, but they are always pushing the envelope.

I wouldnt be surprised if one of my fans created a throw away alt to try and trap me into something i could get in trouble for

This has only happened to me a couple of times. The first time I had no idea what word was the problem. It made no sense to me. I never use any words I think would be inappropriate. After review, the post was published as is. So the problem wasn't really that the word was inappropriate but that the auto review got it wrong. But had I been given a clue as to which word was the problem I could have used a different word.

The second time it happened, I had more experience with posting, and was able to guess which was the culprit. Still it would be nice if we had some kind of flag, like a spell check, to indicate which words are being questioned.

in my case it was the word for non consensual carnal knowledge, the post was approved with that word censored out.

    Live and learn 😁

And that has exactly what to do with SL? Nothing.

So, back to my sims preening them selves in the mirrors.

The other "topics" in the Flab Blab video ( yes I actually watched the whole thing ) just ain't worth discussing.

    Except...

During the "Mirrors" lecture, why doesn't Kyle have an AO? you can see he wasn't really paying attention there,  mouse cursor in the corner of the screen, avatar bent over in "noob duck walk" style.

Somebody give him some style counselling.

Isn't it amazing how the whole future of Second life hinges on having mirrors?

OMG we are so gonna have mirrors, then everyone will flock to Second Life and we will be wildly successful forever.

    😂

Just copy your post into a new post without the banned word and repost it. It will go through then.

Kinda hard to copy the post without the banned word if you don't know what the banned word is. I like what another person posted, if you write a banned word, you get a pop up saying this word isn't permitted.

    Simple isn't it?

TBF,  you are smart enough to know that the word you used is a no-no word. You are smart right? Is creating a thread about banned words after you got your hand slapped a way to say up yours?

No, I'm serious, there should be a list of banned words. I had a post temporarily blocked for a word I had no idea would not be allowed.

In future I will refrain from using that word.

I'm thinking it might be time to add you to my block list 😂

You can say dick.  It's the actual.name for it you can't use.  ***** and ***** are a no no.

What if im raising chickens in my back yard? can i use the other word for rooster?

I’m pretty sure we can’t use the common name for the mushroom called Phallus impudicus

That would just encourage people to purposefully come up with creative spellings of those same words and then use them in moments when they otherwise would not have.

You can guess the obvious terms. Hate speech, foul words, misinformation terms, etc.

Less likely but possibly wise would be things that would either likely stir up fights (It'd be smart to ban the personal names of major politicians / world leaders / political parties during major world events / elections), or get LL in legal hot water with competing companies.

perhaps we should just have a list of allowed words, I suggest only the words found in the “[censored] and Jane” series of early childhood readers. 😬
