*You can save an outfit with Viewer 2*

Go to the right side of your viewer and there is a shirt icon, click it and at the bottom of the panel is "Save outfit as..."

I do it all the time and I always use viewer 2.

Thanks, but like Ishtara pointed out, you cannot save outfits as *copies*, which is what I was hoping was still possible in V2. :)

I like modding my moddable stuff for different outfits, and in those instances, the links (as much as I appreciate the ability to link to copy items) aren't the best way to go.

I'll stick with Phoenix, although I still have to keep poking at V2 so I at least know my way around it.

I sure hope the devs reconsider this one, Torley. Makes me wonder how much time THEY spend inworld...  <.<

  2. I use Phoenix on a daily basis, but now and then I run around with V2, so that I'll be able to help newbies with various issues. I was messing with outfits while using it now, and realised I had no idea how to save the outfit without using links. Ya know, like in the old days where saving an outfit created a new folder with copies (assuming stuff was copy of course). I use both methods frequently in Phoenix, and would love to be able to use both in V2 also.

It's probably right under my nose, but I don't see it. Halp?  :smileyindifferent:

  3. This isn't exactly close to my RL appearance (doh), but it's a good representation of what I usually wear in RL: Jeans, tee and a hoodie. Oh, and glasses. It's what I usually wear in SL on lazy days.

  4. I signed up with another avatar in july -07 after having seen a spoof  of Second Life. Wanted to see what the mockery was about. :P Didn't get very far because my computer couldn't run SL. Then I got a new computer in November, and when moving files I came across the viewer I downloaded but couldn't use. I gave it another go, and there I was.. rezzing in as a longhaired chick in a purple shirt... :smileysurprised:   I stumbled around a bit thinking this was crap... Found the parrot, ran over some rats, and then I found the edit appearance tutorial. Phew. Got a sex change, worked quite a bit on my shape, dived into the library for better rags, and then I fell off a bridge and got stuck in water. Couldn't move, and thought it was game over. Logged off, returned the next day and was still in water. :smileysad: Happily found out I could move again, ran off, found the big green arrow and was on my way into the big world.. Hyrule.

From there I walked and flew around. I would see green dots on the minimap and go closer.. and then chicken out, as I got a bit freaked out when people talked to me.  Somehow I stumbled in through the doors at The Shelter on Isabel. Sat on a chair in the back hoping noone would talk to me, and just observed people and learned from the questions others asked. To this day The Shelter is my default location if I have no other plans.

Ok.  I'm not very good at this sort of stuff.  Am i able to simply delete a stray prim or two?  Thanks.

I sometimes unlink and delete stray prims, but find it to be less hassle to select the prim, and put a clear texture (that we all should have in the library) on it. Prim is still there, but can't be seen.
