  1. Hi Rolig! Thanks for the prompt reply as always. Like most group owner dispute, this one has a lot of animosity and drama attached to it. Usually LL would not be involved. What makes that even less likely is the fact that the issue between these owners occurred less than 24 hours ago. All very puzzling. And the owner was not removed from the group (as of yet) but had their owner role removed. Something is really not right and it seems like a hack to me. Of course as an outside party offering advice, I don't have much I can do. :( Unless it is a security hack issue. But I have no way of knowing that and the group owner that's in charge has no interest in helping since this was the desired outcome for them.

  2. Specifically, can a group owner now remove another owner?  If not, is anyone aware of a hack that might do this?  Seems that this has just happened in a group and I'm trying to figure out where to take the problem.  This is always the best place to start :)

Clarification.  2nd owner was not removed from the group but their owner role was taken away.

    Thx!

  3. I got an IM about a new third party Linden Exchange and decided I would check to see if it is on the approved list.   But I can't find a current list. :smileysad:  The only one I found is an archived list.   Has something changed with regard to third parties selling linden?  Is there an approved list anywhere?  Or has LL stopped approving exchanges and opened it to anyone?

    Thx!

  4. Is anyone aware of a technical limit of 25 requests in 20 second PER SIM??   I've read the wiki and the limit stated is 25 requests in 20 seconds per object.  This per sim statement has been tossed out by the owner of a large hunt based group as the reason for poor game performance with LL to blame (of course :) ).  I haven't been as active in the Answers or Forums recent so I'm wondering if I've missed a recently change.  Or is this just smoke and mirrors?

    Thx!

  5. Depends on the viewer.. Phoenix has an Asset Blacklist that derendered AVs get listed on, and you have to remove their names from it and either Tp away/back or relog to get them to show up again. It doesn't work without taking their name off that list. I dunno how other viewers do it.   The SL Viewer doesn't have a derender feature.

  6. Mute/Block it.   When it spams you, its name is displayed in your chat window.  Left click on the name will popup a dialog (assuming SL Viewer 3) and one of the options will be Block

  7. Try a different simulator (location)   Select one like Pooley or Aqua.  If you do not have the option to select your starting location at login, go to Me - Preferences - General tab and click on the Start location: Show on login.

Rolling restarts are currently in process, so you probably tried to login to a simulator that's being restarted.

  8. Yes that will happen sometimes with the rolling restarts.  You should get the Grid status from time to time so you know when restarts are planned.

  9. It would help to know what kind of computer and OS (Windows, Mac or Linux).  And which viewer you downloaded (SL or third party)    Just use the Options - Edit to add the info to your post since Answers format doesn't have a way to reply.

Generally speaking, you download the application from the web, run the installer and then launch the viewer.  If you've done all that and you are getting nothing, then recommend you try your download/install again.

  10. Its been gone from the right hand menu for a while now.   Instead, click on Contact Support in the right menu of the Help page and you should find the Live Chat link in the main text of that window.
