The situation is quite simple ...security provided by the lab is fine without the need for a mass of extra security orbs ban lines and all the rest..... Id love to know how much of a drain ban lines are on sl resources and how many people a day are inconvenienced, crashed out, frozen etc.....everyone who is in favour of ban lines should simply be surrounded by four walls of the dratted things as they clearly love 'em so much and obviously dont enjoy the exploration aspect of sl that much anyway....
Perhaps they could create a continent called Alcatraz and allow the banline lovers to migrate there...... everyone encased in their own pulsing electronic hazard ribbons...

As expected ban lines are okay until they inconvenience you - so what's the rule 'banlines fine until they upset PhilDeakins' - just as I expected...So if 4 different people surround you and use ban lines which one isnt going to have the right to put up the ban lines you think are fine everywhere else....
the word hypocrite comes to mind.....

If there were I suspect there'd be masses of complaints gumming up the administrative works......and lets face it all lindens are really concerned about at the end of the day is the kerching of dollars who at lindens cares if a few users get a spot of harrasment as long as they or others are paying out the dosh each month.....

By the way the land is not YOUR land you merely rent it from Lindens who can take it from you at any time - read the TOS ..in my book ban lines contradict lindens on rules on what affects the 'community'

Another one who deserves for their land to be surrounded on all four sides by ban lines and told 'ah well like you said 'private land is private land'

Rubbish - security devices are griefing weapons ...by your reckoning if a griefer gave you a ten second warning before flipping you half way across sl he'd be fine....

No viewer seems to operate that well nowadays - I have four installed...I gave up on firestorm...theres currently a ludicrous glitch involving texture mmory which has never been properly resolved - the 'helpers' at firestorm have been giving out the same useless advice for tackling it since 2011....
sl's own viewer has an appallingly cumbersome chat window so I gave up on that...
singularity started giving some very odd graphic results so despite the fact I like singularity's layout I had to stop using that too..
which leaves Catznip most effective on my system - not perfect but better than the others...
My own opinion is stuff's pretty screwed up at lindens affecting how viewers work amongst other issues....

Theres no need for banlines there's enough security without them or security orbs which, are let's face it, legalised griefing tools as Ive said many times.... people leave junk on your land ban 'em - return their junk...youre at home and you want privacy ask unwanted guests to leave if they dont ban 'em....no need for stupid ban lines which ruin the supposedly emmersive experience all the ceos at lindens blah on about...
Boundary crashes are bad enough without ban lines adding an unsightly nusiance.... I also wonder what sort of drain they are on sl resources.
Ban lines should be deactivated and security orbs and their kin banned.

How about something trully interesting in the breedables range...a pack of tyrannosaurs or herd of triceratops..a schoal of ichthyosaurs or a flock of pterodactyls ???

Besides the only time Lindens takeany notice of their own TOS is when theyve made a massive booboo and need a quick way of getting out of recompensing inconvenienced customers...as I know to my cost and a lot of sl users will find out if there's ever any major stoppage of sl....

Its all very well quoting TOS when one of the worst things for disrupting my SL experience is ban lines... and those are maintined by lindens.

Lets face all I can say about lindens 'offers' is that they are absolutely useless to long term sl users and freebies in cereal packets are better.....

Im suprised Lindens didnt say the offer was only open to anyone over the age of 55 and their membership application had to be countersigned by their grandparents... ( offer only available in leap years)

Funny I can pay in sterling to other games companies not based in the uk.....if lindens are proferring their services here I should be able to pay in sterling, the japanese in yen, people in europe the euro.....
Of course Lindens dont seem to promote them selves as a big international company since the swingeing staff cuts a year or two back.... In any event a massive tier cut for everyone regardless of global location would be a massive boost. Of course the current way Lindens have of dealing with abandoned land means not as much of the map is as yellow as it used to be.

As usual though regardless of whether the op was right or not a complaint again lindens has been blurred and muddied by a load of irrelevant tosh ...typical....and one more reason why lindens can get away with offering a less than perfect service....

I wonder why the original poster chose to mention the UK...I get the distinct impression he's not from the UK at all..
..and in my opinion tiers are too high WHEREVER you live... the tiers remain the same while the service seems to decline continually. Instead of the useless 'premium baubles' that keep been proferred how about a tier cut or an increase in free land. And how about increasing the tier points so that people dont have to make massive leaps to increase their land. Its about time long term customers were rewarded for loyalty despite the continual bollocks ( a nice english word for you) they keep being offered as service....
As for being in the uk admittedly Lindens cant do anything about v.a.t. but they could set the fees and tier amounts in native currency and let us pay through pay pal rather than having to pay in dollars and have the added inconvenience of having to deal with exchange rates - which ever way they go.

Look for futuristic energy weapons which don't switch to mouselook when I use them...such a pain trying to get pics of myself firing weapons in mouselook mode.....

I wonder if anyone can point me the direction of a hud or something my girl can attach to herself which allow me to fondle her bottom and breasts without putting down spheres...... be nice to grind my hips against her to if thats feasible.... thanks

What a laugh civ v - it cant touch the older civ III ... Civ V might look nice but gameplay wise I hear time and again that earlier versions are better.
The moral dont sacrifice the game in the name of high tech !!!!
