[AI Music inspired by Second Life]

In the past few years, we have seen AI-generated imagery, video, and audio. So far the results have been crude and a bit weird, but steadily improving. In the world of music this past year we've witnessed voice swaps in songs, like Frank Sinatra's voice replacing Freddie Mercury's in Bohemian Rhapsody. You can imagine how odd that would sound!

Seemingly coming out of nowhere is something new. The creation of music purely via text prompts (Like Dall-E does with images) and supplied lyrics. The results are amazing. The two songs below were generated at Udio.com and from start to finish took an hour to create. I wrote the lyrics, selected the genres/voices/instruments, and arranged the elements. The website did the rest.

 

These songs are far from perfect.  I am not a song writer nor a producer, but still, these sound pretty good and the technology will only get better.

The v4.0 update to my LOGO Alexis head with an Evox skin. Looks good, but still needs tweaking, especially the mouth area.

I also did an inspect also on that media bar and found an .m4a being streamed, but it's only one song. I suspect it is feeding you one .m4a file at a time instead of a steady stream over a shoutcast / icecast port. SL will stream media files, but apparently not in a jukebox fashion.

I think of myself as cis-gender female in RL, I have lived my RL as a female. I present  myself most times in SL as a female. (Ok sometimes I am a gender neutral mouse or ferret or male dinky cat.) But I love fart jokes in RL and in SL I am armed with fart gestures, fart bombs, whatever I can find to defile the environment around me when I am in the mood. Does that mean I am not really a woman? It has been rough on me. Yesterday marked the two year anniversary of her last in-world login. I've gone through all the stages of grief and all I have left is heartbreak and sadness.
