  1. So what is the best way to do this? I am picturing making the model then taking a picture. Then create an outline shape and texturing with the picture of my model. Is this a good way to do this?

  2. Ahem.... okay here is what happened....ahem.... I totally logged off my computer before and tried it and it did not work but when you worte that I got to thinking... My cellphone is logged into Second Life all the time. So I just logged off my Dashboard, the Forums, The Feeds, and the Marketplace, then I turned around and did the same with my phone. Closed all the windows and reopened the Marketplace on my home computer.... Now it works YAY!!! Thank you so much! :)

  3. How do I turn on the “Made of Mesh” button for my listings? I have taken that test, uploaded mesh, built with mesh, sent items to the Marketplace (with DD) that have mesh but still the button is grey to me. I have seen it on other people's listing so it must work... I just don't know how to make it work.
  4. Hi,

       I made this Tennis Racquet and textured it in Blender, I still have a lot to learn but I have a question. What is the best way to turn up the LOD on the strings... (See second picture).

    The strings are so small that when you zoom out with a LOD factor of 2 (I was on 5 for the top pic) this happens.

    @Drongle thank you again for your detailed answer. The rails are sculpties I got from another creator. All that is mesh is the frame everything else is prims. But by setting it to "None" solved the phantom problem.

  6. Okay all together it is 38 prims without physics but I am having problems linking everything. Seems the phantom scripts I have don't want to work in the mesh body.

    With physics it is 61 total.

    @Pamela it seems counter intuitive that mesh is not good for complex shapes but you found a very interesting solution.

    @Ashasekay thank you. I think I am going to try both ways and see what the results are, it is not like it will be hard to add 4 prims for the walls on the non-physics shape.

    Also, if you look in the statistics for the mesh (in the edit dialog - More Info); Which part has the highest count? Download weight, server weight or physics?

  9.    Hi this is my house. I kind of like how it turned out so I began to wonder if I could make it out of mesh. I downloaded Blender and watched YouTube for hours learning how to use it. (See next picture)

       So this is what I made, the frame of the house I was going to fill in the rest with prims but I have a problem. The door opening I made won't work, it is like hitting a brick wall unless I have it set on phantom. If I keep it there you will be able to walk right through the walls and I don't want that. I am new to mesh do you have any advise?

    That probably means that Marketplace thinks it still exists in one of your Magic Boxes. Make sure you remove all your Magic Boxes from In-World and then Force Remove them from the Magic Box Status page.   11. Is it really that easy? I wanted to update an item so I...

    1) Uploaded the new version to the Marketplace.

    2) Went to edit on the old listing and picked Edit Associated Item and picked the new one.

    3) Hit update.

    That was it. The old one was gone and my item was updated. :)

    I was wrong it did not help. I passed the test, relogged and still I can't check the "Mesh" box. :(

    Nope not a one and I just had my firt purchase by a Linden. I hope he likes it.
