I just woke from a nap where I had dream of a place where RL and SL crossed. In my dream I TP'd from my SL home to an apartment Skybox. The skybox was a cross between my BFF's college apartment in Berkeley and my favorite restaurant in Downtown Disney. The apartment had stairs that lead to a courtyard that opened to the restaurant patio. In this dream once you walked into the restaurant you entered Real Life but you could go there in your Avatar and RL people could go back to your apartment as people. There was a man who lived next door to me in the skybox and he was RPing a 1940's style detective, he starting talking to me in kind of a flirtatious way and then... I woke up and started writing this.
So what about you, do you have any strange SL/RL dreams you want to share?

That is how I have been feeling for the past week or so then I just caved in, I mean why not I love Christmas! Jeez I hadn't thought about the food thing... maybe I will make some fudge.

You go to any major retail store and all the Christmas Stuff is out already and it is not even Thanksgiving (U.S.) ...I know, I know they have been doing this to us for years and now some even start before Halloween. So I started thinking WHY FIGHT IT? Really if they are going “all-out” why shouldn't I? Christmas is a wonderful holiday and instead of being all upset about all the early hype why not jump on the bandwagon and join in the fun? I am going to start by putting up a tree in my SL home TODAY and start clearing some prims for some more decorations. Heck I might even start in RL too. What are your thoughts on the matter?

Where did they go? How come they didn't in up in the trash?

So I was running two windows of the same viewer at the same time and had a really bad crash. When I restarted the viewer everything was weird. Interface colors were all off things did not run right so shut down and cleared cache but it did not help same problems. So I figured the hard crash damaged the software somehow so I uninstalled it and downloaded it again. I did not know the uninstalled button in the SL folder removed everything! So now I can't find my chat logs, they are not in the trash, is there a way to get them back?

eta: you don't even get to the login screen. You click to open program and it crashes.

There is a new Beta Release out tonight (3.2) but it seems I can not use it. It won't even finish opening before the crash log pops up. Anyone else have problems with it?

Well when the sign you click on calls it "September's Premium Gifts" you just naturally assume that there will be an October Premium gift and a November. If they don't want to give them every month they should just number them: This is Premium Gift #1 and so on. :matte-motes-tongue:

I went to http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Atroth/130/126/77to get my October Premium gift and all I found was September's/ What up with that?

Void and Venus you are right it must be something else then because msn and goggle don't use https and they are not blocked.

It does not matter what browser I use it still gets blocked because secondlife.com uses the http protocol and not the https. Half the websites SL is using are http and the other half are https. By the vary definition of https it is more secure and the fact the secondlife.com does not use it is causing it to be blocked by some services.

Why are the Second Life community web sites considered a security risk by firewalls and ie? Try using any network and explorer with heightened security you will find that Second Life Community Sites are broken. I am not talking about the Viewer but the Forums/Blogs/Wiki. So far I have found 6 sites that have to be unlocked for this sites to work right.
amazonaws.com lindenlab.com secondlife.i.lithium.com community.secondlife.com secondlife.com wiki.secondlife.com The last three are treated as security risk. I can't really navigate without unblocking them all. Just when I think I know them all I find another that needs to be unblocked. Agggg!
The worst part is when you are somewhere that allows Blogs and Forums but you can't get there because the website are treated as a unsercure website.
