All I'm advocating for is some kind of transparency whereby LL would email/tell all avatars that are being flagged as bots that that is the case. Not just silently change their status "behind the scenes" where for all outward appearances in the Account Settings, it still says "run by human."

But you would have no idea the REASON for being banned is because you are flagged as a bot, because like i and Phil mentioned, in the Account Settings, it is possible to be set to "run by a human" but internally LL has a different "system" for flagging some accounts as "bots"

So you wouldn't be bothered if your main account was unfairly flagged as a "scripted agent" with no recourse to get it reversed because on your end, the "scripted agent status" in account settings is still set to "run by a human"?

But the unfortunate thing is that legitimately human run accounts could (and are) falsely identified by LL as "scripted agents", thus they would be banned from any parcels that ban "scripted agents" without even knowing why they are banned (they would just get a message that they aren't allowed on a particular sim/parcel. Does that not concern anyone else?

i think that you don't understand the scenario. some legtimately human-run accounts are falsely being registered as "scripted agent" status internally by LL (not that they checked the "scripted agent" status themselves), thereby being banned from any sim/parcel that has chosen to ban "scripted agents"

Now it's even unfair to have false positives as scripted agents, since sim/parcel owners can ban scripted agents, potentially banning legitimately human user accounts

Isn't there more than one Welcome Hub newbies could potentially rezz into? Why does LL not have Mentors at all welcome hubs?

did Linden restart their Mentorship program? Aren't there supposed to be designated Mentors on standby at all welcome centers to greet and assist any newbies with questions?

perhaps auto moving accounts older than 3 days automatically to another region

but what would be the point of creating an account just to sit for days and days at the welcome center? it would only help traffic numbers for the welcome center, not any other parcel/region

That's what I would like to know, if there's some magical insight or script you can run to ascertain whether an account is a "bot/scripted agent" or whether they are an alt account; which are two totally different things.

Don't people logged into the official SLV see white clouds for people who haven't rendered yet? Orange clouds are what people logged into Firestorm see as people who haven't rendered yet.

If a sim owners chooses to park registered scripted agents on their own sim, (keep in mind registered scripted agents don't count as traffic) unless they are doing nefarious actions like spamming, phishing, etc, why is it other people's place to denounce that?

I'd like to see what Welcome Hubs are maxed out at 100 avis, preventing truly new users from entering. The only places I've seen been locked out of entering for the sim being too full is at shopping events and major events in sl like SLB sims. The biggest complaint I see from new users is "how EMPTY sl seems to be." If that's the case, where are bots taking up "precious resources" from sims?

Perhaps they're new users trying to figure out how to change their avatar look? Trying to change the senra look? Other than to be mentors to new users, I don't know why "bots" in a welcome hub would benefit anyone other than maybe making the welcome hub looking "busier" than it really is? Do welcome hubs even show up in traffic counters? I don't think I've seen welcome hubs in any top parcel searches...
